Calas Vehicle Maintenance can satisfy every customer’s requirement including clients who have experienced fixed price maintenance agreements from leasing brokers and fleet management companies.

There is no charge for the use of the Calas Vehicle Maintenance quotation system. It is fully integrated into our core product suite, that being: Vehicle Leasing, New Vehicle Sales and Used Vehicle Sales Systems.
For brokers not using one of our core products we also have a standalone web-based quotation system giving you the ability to provide instant quotations for your clients and giving you, the broker, the ability to earn additional income.
We will still provide the quotation system free of charge to brokers who do not subscribe to one of our core products but, to keep your account active, at least one sale per month must be achieved.
On the conversion of each policy with no upsell applied to the rate you would earn £50.00 + VAT (£10.00 + VAT on tyre only contracts).
You can, of course upsell the commission earned out of each policy by up to a maximum of 20% of the monthly maintenance cost allowing you to earn some serious additional commission earnings.
An example being: Client agrees to proceed at a monthly maintenance of £60.00 + VAT (£50.00 standard rental + £10.00 monthly upsell) on a 3 + 35 contract the additional £10 monthly upsell would have earned you an additional £190.00 + VAT, that as well as the standard £50.00 would give you a total commission payment of £240.00 + VAT.

Prices quoted are per month plus V.A.T. and are based upon the relief vehicle being taken out on the contract inception date.
In the event of a relief vehicle being required and the client has the provision within their agreement - a relief vehicle will be provided within 24 hours of notification from the repairer that the vehicle is classed as "offroad" and is limited to a maximum period of 28 days over the life of the contract.
In the event that a relief vehicle is classed as "offroad" on a weekend the relief vehicle will be provided the next working day after the weekend. No relief vehicles can be delivered on a weekend, this extends through statutory and bank holidays.
No relief vehicle will be provided if the vehicle is involved in a road traffic accident, subject to vandalism or theft.
Subsequent Road Tax
Welcome to the FAQ section for the Calas Vehicle Maintenance, which will hopefully answer the most common questions asked by both you the broker and your clients.
1. Commission
Q. How do I build in my commission?
A. There is automatically £50 commission build into the quotes for Gold, Silver & Bronze Contracts, with £10 built in for Tyre Only contracts.
Q. Can I earn more than this?
A. Yes, you can build into the quotes an additional upsell of up to 20% maximum of the initial monthly maintenance quote, of which you will receive 50% of the upsell (Excluding Tyre Only Contracts). The commission box will automatically recalculate itself to show you the gross commission to be paid incorporating the 50% upsell automatically. You can only upsell in whole £'s.
Q. Is there a potential of any clawback of the commission?
A. Only on the upsell element, due to your client defaulting or early termination of the contract.
2. Can I Get Manual Quotes?
Q. Can a used vehicle quote be obtained?
A. Contracts can be added to any vehicle up to 3 years old and 50,000 miles at the start. A manual quote can be requested for a used vehicle and turned around with 4 working hours.
Q. The maintenance data is not pulling through in Calas?
A. This probably means that this is a new/revamp model where the data is not yet available. A manual quote
can be ordered and will be returned around within 4 working hours.
3. How do I order a contract?
Q. I have a client that would like to proceed with their quote, what do I do now?
A. A manual contract order form can be downloaded from Calas, completed and returned with a copy of the quote.
Q. What Happens Next?
A. A Master Agreement including the terms and conditions is issued with the direct debit mandate which is then forwarded to you for your client to sign and return.
Q. Can you accept a direct debit in a different name?
A. No - The direct debit mandate must be in the same name to that held on the contracts.
Q. Can you take the Initial Deposit by Direct Debit?
A. Yes - all initial deposits will be collected by direct debit, payment by cheque is not available.
Q. What can you accept as proof of address and ID?
A. Proof of address & identity is only required for private retail contracts. Ideally this comes in the form of a copy of the drivers licence (both parts). Alternatively, proof of ID can be obtained in the form of a copy of the driver’s passport and proof of address in the form of a utility bill dated within the last three months.
Q. What happens once I have returned documentation to you?
A. The vehicle is added to fleet and the contracts countersigned by calas. A copy of the contract, VAT invoice for the initial payment and an annual invoice for future payments to be taken is issued to the driver along with a service card and driver procedures.
4. Additional Vehicles?
Q. Why have I only received a vehicle schedule?
A. A Master Agreement including the terms and conditions is only issued with the first agreement ordered for a client. This is only required to be returned with the first agreement. Only a vehicle schedule is required for any subsequent vehicles.
Q. Do I need to return a Direct Debit Mandate with every contract?
A. As with the terms and condition this is only required with the first vehicle added to fleet for a business. Once in place this is not required to be returned again.
1. Servicing and Repairs?
Q. Where can I have my vehicle serviced and repaired?
A. Calas Vehicle Maintenance use both franchised dealers and independent repairers, where manufacturers offer
structured fleet schemes we use franchised dealers, where a fleet scheme is not offered by the manufacturer we use pre vetted and approved independent repairers including Nationwide AA Autocentres and Bosch Service centres.
A designated home repairer will be allocated and printed on your Calas Vehicle Maintenance driver card.
2. Tyre Replacement?
Q. Can I Use Any tyre supplier?
A. No, only National Tyres can be used.
3. Going Abroad?
Q. I am taking my vehicle abroad, am I covered for maintenance?
A. Calas Vehicle Maintenance provides cover in the UK only, however we will be happy to service or repair your
vehicle prior to your departure and offer advice on European Breakdown cover if required.
Should you incur any repairs whilst abroad, you can submit the receipt to us for consideration and we will (if
repairs covered under your agreement) reimburse the equivalent costs we would have paid in the UK.
4. What Vehicles Are Covered?
Q. What vehicles do Calas Vehicle Maintenance Cover?
A. There are two types of cover available.
Fixed Price Cover – covers all new cars and light commercial vehicles up to and including 3.5tonne gross
vehicle weight. Used cars and light commercial vehicles can be covered with a fixed price agreement
providing the vehicle is up to 3 years of age and 50,000 miles at the start of the agreement can be covered.
Although there is a 60 day initial pause of cover on used vehicles.
Pay as You Go Cover – Is available to any car or light commercial vehicle that does not qualify for Fixed Price
agreements, or for customers who prefer not to be tied into a specific term and mileage agreement.
5. Vehicle Warranty?
Q. Is my vehicle Warranty maintained?
A. Yes, all works carried out comply with manufacturer’s recommendations and the European Block Exemption
rulings introduced in 2003. Providing the customer presents the vehicle for service in the correct time scale the
manufacturer’s warranties will be maintained through the Calas Vehicle Maintenance Agreement.
6. Booking A Service?
Q. Can I book my car in for a Service online?
A. Yes, visit www.calas-maintenance.co.uk where you can book online 24/7 and accepted bookings are
confirmed back to the customer by SMS text message. Customers can also contact Calas Vehicle Maintenance driver helpline on 0845 060 3360 and our experienced team will make the booking for you, the driver helpline is open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5pm.
7. What Cover Is Available?
Q. What Cover is available from Calas Vehicle Maintenance?
A. Both fixed price and rechargeable pay as you go cover is available, customers can select different levels of
cover to suit their own needs include Servicing, Tyres & Maintenance. A comprehensive range of ancillary options are also available to compliment your core maintenance cover including Breakdown recovery, Relief Vehicles, Tom Tom Sat Nav units, Road Renewal service, No quibble tyre upgrade.
8. Amending The Contract?
Q. Can I extend my Maintenance Cover?
A. Yes, providing you uptake the extension quotation prior to the original mileage or term expiring, fixed price
agreements can be extended providing cover at the point of expiry is no older than five years old or 150,000 miles.
Q. Can I transfer my maintenance cover to another vehicle?
A. No, maintenance agreements and their budgets are specific to each vehicle.
Q. Can I amend the term or mileage part way through the agreement?
A. Yes, as standard Calas Vehicle Maintenance on fixed price agreements take a review on the anniversary of each agreement, assessing its mileage usage against the contracted allowance. If the vehicle is operating with a variance of more than 10%, the customer is offered the opportunity to increase or decrease the mileage allowance and if accepted, the new payment will simply be collected from the next Direct Debit.
This pro active service ensure that customers are paying for what they use and it avoids maintenance cover expiring early if the mileage is reached prior to the term.
